The technology industry joins around Econocom Services' Mainevent event

The Mainevent Madrid Edition was sponsored by the leading technology manufacturers such as Veeam and VMware as Platinum sponsors; Commvault, Dell Technologies, EasyVista, HPE, Huawei, Microsoft, and NetApp as Gold sponsors, and Arrow or TD Synnex as Silver sponsors.

Held at the Real Fábrica de Tapices in Madrid, the event was attended by more than 250 people, including CIO partners and heads of technology from large companies and various public administrations. Attendees had the opportunity to see the technological trends that will shape the future of digitalization.

 

The event helped attendees to verify the evolution of Econocom Group over the last year. Likewise, during the celebration of two round tables, some success stories in which Econocom Services has participated were shown, and at the same time, it was checked the main challenges that organizations will face in the coming months.

Roberto Montero, Sales Director of Econocom Services stated that: "holding this Mainevent in Madrid is something very well thought by our part. We really felt that we had to communicate to the maximum number of clients and Partners the substantial portfolio changes and the evolution of our proposal value. So, we also wanted to recognize to all our customers whom, at some point, have been part of our success and have been associated with our Services Activity. The feedback could not have been more positive, so we believe we´ve built a great event, a reference in the ICTs industry, to be repeated without a doubt".

Carlos Pérez-Herce, Country Manager of Econocom Group in Spain, presented the main data supporting the company's good performance. Last year, the Group had a turnover of 2,718 million euros, with a growth of 14.8% compared to the results obtained in 2021. In Spain, the Group's subsidiary had a turnover of 353 million euros last year, with a year-on-year growth of 20%.

“We are very pleased to have been able to bring together more than 250 CIOs, ICT directors and other leading personalities from the world of technology to address the most important needs in services and technology solutions. Among the next objectives will be to launch a 5-year strategic plan to be announced at the end of October," said Pérez-Herce.

Damián Pascual, Managing Director of Econocom Services, declared that: "the profound changes that are taking place in our sector, driven by a rapid technological evolution, generate new business and service models that coexist with the previous ones. This hybridization of models and technologies is a challenge, but, above all, a great opportunity for Econocom Services, which has been strengthened with a very powerful offering of cloud services, cybersecurity and automation". During the meeting, it became clear that companies must adapt to this new reality and invest in these trends, and how Econocom does so in its dual role as an integrator and service provider.

On the other hand, those event visitors the Mainevent Madrid were able to see how Econocom Services is helping organizations to achieve success in their digitalization processes in two round tables.

Vicente Llosá, Operations Director of Econocom Servicios oversaw moderating the round table "Transformation of IT Services in the private sector" with the participation of Ignacio Zamorano, Global Director of IT Operations & Platforms of Sodexo; Sergio Perelló, Technology Director of the insurance company Caser and Álvaro Molina, Senior Director of Real-World Data GE Healthcare.

The second one, "Challenges and Technological Innovation in Public Administrations", moderated by Mario Villa, Operations Director of Econocom Services, counted with the participation of Jesús Salvador, Head of the ICT Systems Area of Adif; Vicente Rodrigo, Head of the Information and Communication Technologies Service of the Valencia City Council and Arturo Cebrián, Head of the Systems Area of the National Competition Market Commission.
